duolingo is a game with points, streaks, drills. calm is sleep and meditation. driftspeak is neither. each Volume is a bilingual narrative built around an album you already know. every track is a chapter rooted in one song, voiced in pair. it plays in the background the way a record does. the comfort is the point; the language is the medium.
do i need to study? take notes?
no. there's nothing to complete. the format assumes you'll miss half of it the first time and that's fine. the sentences are short, repeated in context, and paced for absent-minded listening. some people study alongside; most don't.
